I have always done what I was supposed to do in order to be the “good girl,” and have remained the definition of single.

If you choose to be with someone who does not share the same faith or the same level of faith that you do, you are likely opening yourself up to a lifetime of struggle and frustration.

Hallelujah! He is risen. Our sins are forgiven and there is no longer anything standing between us and our heavenly Father! Thank You Jesus for Your sacrifice. Thank You for loving me enough to free me from the bondage of my sin and shame so that I can be with You forever in heaven. He is risen indeed! Amen!
Holy week is a time to reflect and prepare for the miracle of God's love through Jesus' sacrifice. Take time this week to sit with God and listen rather than speak. What does He have to say to you? What will He say when you reflect on His word and remain present in His love?
Jesus sacrificed everything so that God would no longer see the sin that separates us from Him. Jesus intercedes for us because of His love for every. Single. One. Of. Us.
Surrendering your life to Christ is not an easy task. The actual decision to follow Him is probably the easiest part for most people. It's the living that's hard. Getting up each day with the heart that's ready to say "what challenge do you have for me today God?" Jesus knows that we will ALL struggle here on earth. He also knows that we will always fall short of the expectations. However, Jesus also knows how great His love is for us and He has covered us in that love. So while we may struggle, we may have pain, we may never live up to the expectations we think need to be put upon ourselves...life in this world will be challenging. But through Jesus we can conquer it without fear!
In John, chapter 16, Jesus tells us about the power and position of the Holy Spirit. He explains to His disciples that the Holy Spirit will guide them to the truth once Jesus is physically gone from their presence. He says that the Holy Spirit will " prove to the people of the world the truth about sin" and about being right with God. Jesus says that being right with God comes from Jesus leaving the disciples to go be with the Father. They won't be able to physically see Him with their eyes, but they can feel and hear His presence and guidance through the Holy Spirit. And so can we!
Lazy Sunday, enjoying the warm weather and some time in the hammock. Such a spoiled pug.
